Hi. I recently discovered the Volume Backup feature which is good for databases that aren't supported on EasyPanel for the Backups feature. The two problems I am seeing from the Volume backups feature specifically that are not found in the Database backups are:
Large File Sizes - There is no apparent way of compressing the Volume before uploading it so, for example, an 80gb database will be uploaded every time. Database backups on the other hand, get gzipped and are far smaller in size. This also means upload times will be far shorter which is more effficient on the network.
Retention - Database backups support retention where easypanel will automatically delete the oldest backup once the threshold is met. Volume backups however, do not, so you would need to manually delete a backup each time it happens.
Would be more inclined to use this feature on my volumes going forward once this is supported in the future!
